Bristol WordPress People is a community-driven Meetup group for WordPress users of all levels, from beginners to professionals, or even if you’re just a WordPress enthusiast. All are welcome.
We meet monthly to learn together, share knowledge, and connect with one another.
Our Goal
Our goal is to help everyone in Bristol and the surrounding area to succeed with WordPress through education, collaboration, and a strong support network.
What We Do

- Build Connections: Network with local designers, developers, business owners, and bloggers.

Coming Along for the First Time
If you’ve never been to a meetup before — or you’ve never been to a WordPress event — be assured that you are very welcome, and in all likelihood you won’t be the only new face in the room.
Lots of people attend on their own, and many of our regular members first came along knowing no one at all.
You don’t need to be an expert, and you don’t need to prepare anything in advance. Just come as you are.

Join the Community
Our events are free and open to all. All of our upcoming events are published on our Meetup page. You can also view our past events to get an idea of what you can expect by attending.
You will need to register to secure your spot. Numbers are limited so if you’re keen to attend a particular event we recommend registering early.
We require registration as we provide catering at each event and need to plan accordingly.
Bristol WordPress People is about learning together, sharing experience, and supporting each other — whether you come once or become a regular.

Meet the team
Bristol WordPress People is run by a small team of dedicated volunteers from the local WordPress community. We organise meetups in our spare time because we believe in sharing knowledge and helping people learn.
Dave Barr
Dave was a long time member of the WordPress Community and a much-loved and invaluable co-organiser of this group. He will be greatly missed.

Janice Tye
Long time graphic and web designer. Involved with WordPress since 2010. Assistant lead at WordCamp Bristol in 2017 and lead for WordCamp Bristol 2029. Past organiser for WordCamp Europe 2019 and 2021.
Michael Burridge
Michael has worked with WordPress since 2013. An active member of the community he was a co-lead organiser for the first WordCamp Bristol in 2017 and for the very first do_action event in Europe held in Bristol in 2018. He has also served on the organising team for WordCamp Europe three times.
Rebecca Holdstock
Beccy is a freelance web designer who specialises in building WordPress websites for small businesses. She’s keen to grow the local WordPress community, share her knowledge and experience, and learn from others along the way.
